I am interested in profiling women owned businesses that sell gift items appropriate for the holidays on my blog. Ideally, I'll profile one business every day from the day after Thanksgiving through Christimas Eve.
Hey Liz, I think my candles would make excellent gifts. I've been doing a few seasonal candles as well. I have a sugar cookie and a frankincense & myrrh in the making right now.
You can check out my creations at: www.thewildfire.etsy.com
Hi Ash,
I had trouble sending you a message, so I am posting the questions here. You can respond to me directly at
liz@morethanweknow.com.
Thanks!
p.s. If you know any other women entrepreneurs who you think might like to be profiled, please forward the info/questions to them as I still have some openings.
Thank you for your interest in being profiled on More Than WE Know this holiday
season. I am hoping that the article will be able to highlight your business and
its holiday inventory, as well as provide some insight for readers on what real
Women Entrepreneurs are like and the challenges they face.
Please answer the following questions to better help me put together an article that
properly reflects you and your business. If you feel uncomfortable with any
question, feel free to skip it.
Please include two photos - a pic of your products, and a pic of yourself.
Thank you for your participation. Please return these questions to me by Saturday
11/17 so I can start including profiles the day after Thanksgiving, Friday 11/23.
1) Tell me about your business
2) What is your best holiday item?
3) What inspired or motivated you to start your business?
4) What keeps you motivated?
5) How did you fund your business (i.e. -savings, credit card, friends, family, bank
loan, investors, etc.)
6) Who is your target market?
7) What percentage of your business is online? What is your ideal percentage?
8) Where do you get most of your customers? (word of mouth, advertising, networking,
press releases, etc.)
9) What is the biggest challenge you faced and how did you overcome it?
10 What was the best unexpected thing that happened to you?
11) What do you wish you had known when you started?
12) Do you have kids? (number and ages) Do you work at home?
13) If you have kids, what is the biggest challenge of being a work-at-home mom? Or
a Woman Entrepreneur if you don't work at home?
14) If you have kids, how have they helped you be a better entrepreneur?
15) How has being an entrepreneur helped you be a better mom?
16) What advice do you have for other Women Entrepreneurs, or Entrepreneur-wannabe's?
Your dog collars are really unique and a lot of fun! (I really like the Halloween one too!!) I'll send you a list of questions for the profile.
Thanks
Liz
