I find that discussion groups can be a great way to share ideas with other professionals and yet, sometimes they get a bit overwhelming with the amount of time spent in them.
I have started using Friendfeed.com It allows me to see what is being posted on a wide range of my networks without going to each site unless I see something specifically of interest.
This graphic was created by my friend Kyle Lacy to create a framework for approaching social networks. Essentially, he divides networks into one of several buckets. His perspective, and I agree, is you should have one go-to site for each bucket.
To read how he and others categorize their social networking go to this discussion.
I am hoping the MyWomanOwnedBusiness.com becomes my go to business site at some point. But right now we don't seem to have enough dialogue going on.
I have never heard of Friendfeed.com, but sounds like something I need in my life. I am active on numerous networks and enjoy it. I not only learn a great deal, I find those in need of information and keep them in mind as I come across something that might help them.
Organization used to be rule number one in my life...that was before I had twins plus one. I had the opportunity to stay home with my kids and within four months, I was ready to get back out in the working world. Somehow I manage organized chaos, is the best way to describe it.
Love this group & look forward to getting to know more members here.

I use twitter a little. I typically follow a few people. If they talk too much about what they had for breakfast, i usually unsubscribe and add a few new people.
