I hope that everything is going well for you these days. Just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that you are not alone. It seems like all the event planners are having difficult times right now especially with the economy as it is. Keep your faith.

Ivette - Thanks for joining and for your very honest explanation of how you allowed your business to evolve (from wedding planner to floral specialist). I think that's a lesson for all of us: that we have to allow our business to grow, sometimes in ways we hadn't expected it would. Welcome to our little sorority of women business owners. I'd love to see some of your floral creations so please add some photos to your page. You can ask questions of other women on the site by creating a FORUM. And, you can invite other women business owners to join the site (which makes it better for all of us) by using the INVITE tab at the top of this page. Thanks so much. Good luck to you. BTW, how did you find MyWomanOwnedBusiness.com?

What was (is) the biggest hurdle in getting your business off the ground?
Getting people to take me seriously- that I was not doing this as a hobby.
What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?
Do your research! Learn as much as you can!
What has been your biggest mistake?
I quit my job to run my business full time. I did good for a while, but then everything fell flat. I had to go back to work to give me time to figure out why things happened the way they did- I did not have a marketing plan, which is extremely important.
What has been your smartest move?
Creating a marketing strategy and ramping up my marketing plan.
