Where did you get your idea for your business or the business you'd like to start?
I worked with health insurance brokers, and realized that it was a good business to be in. What I love the most is helping people choose a health insurance plan, fits their needs.

I specialize in small business employers with 2-50 employees, set up employee health benefits, plus I work with individuals that need health insurance that do not have an employer sponsored plan option.

What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?
Work with agencies to learn as much as you can about health insurance. Get to know and understand each health insurance carrier's benefits and their guidelines on writting new business, and how to maintain that business.
What has been your biggest mistake?
Marketing, not having enough knowledge on how to market my business in the beginning.
What has been your smartest move?
Joining networking groups. That is the best way to make connections and market yourself and your business. Plus having a website and learning to blog to keep my clients informed.
