There seemed to be a great need for high value, low cost web services for microbusinesses. I sort of fell into this, and stayed in this arena developing original strategies because of the need within the client base.

What was (is) the biggest hurdle in getting your business off the ground?
Our business is very different than the competition, but it SOUNDS the same on the surface. It has been very difficult conveying the difference in a way that people understand, due to the technicality of the differences.
What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?
Perseverance is critical, and developing relationships before marketing to someone is vital.
What has been your biggest mistake?
Not narrowing down my specialty sooner.
What has been your smartest move?
Bringing my husband home to work with me. That has allowed me to refine my skills in a way that removes some of the distractions.
