How did you (or plan to) fund your business startup?
personal savings
What was (is) the biggest hurdle in getting your business off the ground?
It wasn't so easy to explain to people what I do, so creating awareness of my services and benefits was a challenge.
What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?
Get super clear about your niche and stick with it!
What has been your biggest mistake?
I really don't see anything as a mistake - I see it more as a learning opportunity (sometimes a tough learning opportunity :) Having said that, committing to a niche and sticking to a plan would have definitely accelerated success.
What has been your smartest move?
Founding my organization for entrepreneurs - YES!Circle. I've met the most amazing people, learned a great deal about running a business and also have become well known in the DC community. Reputation is everything I am glad I was able to build a positive one in the market place.
