I had a lot of friends and family constantly asking me to assist with their weddings. I thought why not get paid for it?

I offer wedding planning services for both beach and classic weddings her on the coast of Alabama and a second location on the panhandle of Florida.

What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?

Have a business plan before you start and do your research! Know what permits, insurance, licenses, etc you need to have to run a business.

What has been your biggest mistake?

I think my biggest mistake is under estimating what it takes to actually run the back side of a business.

What has been your smartest move?

I bought the book, small business for dummies. Laugh if you want, but that book is awesome!
