Ms. Bobbi,
Sorry to hear of your Mom's discomfort, but Glistens will help to "Cool Her Senses and Calm Her Spirit"!!! About your business - congratulations! Have you spoken with any of the art schools in the area? That might be a great place to get new designers for your shows. They would love a venue to let the public see their work and it could help you get some experience under your belt. Just a thought . . .
PM me, and I can give you details on our Business Grant Program. No catch, it is a legitimate grant program that provides website and marketing services to startups or businesses that need a growth boost.
I wish you all the best in getting your business off the ground and going somewhere. Lemme know if I can be of any help, I always answer questions without charge. :)

What was (is) the biggest hurdle in getting your business off the ground?
The biggest hurdle right now is the paperwork and money. Right now i'm putting together a sponsorship packet to get people Friends, family ,and business owners I know) to invest in my vision.
What would you advise other women interested in starting a similar business?
Read Read Read and then Research. The main thing that I have been doing is my homework. You need to really look at what you are bringing to the table and then look at what is already on the table. Where i live what i'm trying to do is on almost every table but mine *lol*. Here in cleveland, oh fashion shows are rare and the ones we do have is almost like it belongs in a secret society on those that know or hear about it are the people that are apart of it. So do your homework on your area and what your business can do to improve or inhance it!
What has been your biggest mistake?
I feel like my biggest mistake was one procrastinating foe so long on pursueing my idea and two not using my money wisely when i had it. Also watching who I brought into my venture. I had an idea on who i wanted to work with and why, but they ended up not believing in my dream and not wanted to work:; they wanted the fame without putting in the work.
What has been your smartest move?
Waiting so far as been the best thing i could have done. I think if i would have done it when i had the money i might not appreciate the work i have been putting in thus far. Right now at almost every turn I have been meeting people that can help me or point me in the right direction and it has truely been a blessing
