- A few months ago I was planning a baby shower for one of my best friends and couldn't seem to find a decent and inexpensive "favor". Then, I happened to come across an article about selling wedding/baby shower/special occassion favors online and thought to myself "I can do that!" So I searched for distributors with quality favors and I launched my site on Jan. 3rd 2008!

- What was (is) the biggest hurdle in getting your business off the ground?
- Building the website on my own! I researched different options for software for non-experienced web builders such as Yahoo Small Business but decided to go with Volusion. I do not have any web building experience at all so it is quite challenging but a great learning experience. Also, trying to work my regular job while getting this site up and running!
- What has been your biggest mistake?
- No mistakes so far.......at least not that I know of quite yet!
- What has been your smartest move?
- Gaining the confidence to start my own business and bouncing my ideas off of some of my friends who own very successful businesses.

you have a really lovely website and from what I have read on your profile - you've done a great job to achieve that by building the site and business on your own!
Now comes the hard part! It's no good having an amazing website if you have no visitors.
That's where SEO comes in - I'm sure you know all about this, but if you'd like any tips and pointers let me know and I'll be happy to help.
