Does anyone send out mass emails? I would like to send out emails to customers about sales, decorating tips, etc. I am collecting email addresses but don't know what to do. Do I purchase an email progam? Are there free ones that are good that I can download? Help? I am definitely not computer savy.

I am not sure where to ask for help on this -a blog or a comment- but I need help and I am hoping some of you smart computer technology people can help me. I am and interior designer, do consulting, work by appt., but I also have 2 gift shops so I am burning the candle at both ends. I am having a problem taking the time to document my consulting so I am losing several thousand a year by not taking the time to write down the amt of time and what i did with each client's appt. I have Quick Books which tracks time and then turns it into an invoice but Ineed to streamline the process. I wonder if anyone can help with this. I would like a phone/pda that will "interface" (probably incorrect term) with my Quick Books so that I can record the details and it will transfer to Quick Books. Anyone know anything about that? I don't want to switch accting programs because I don't have the time for the learning curve. I have a Palm Pilot right now and just a razr phone. So I don't know if a Blackberry can take the place of my palm pilot. I have the Palm Pilot calendar on the work computer so that my employees can scedule appts. also. I end up recording my time on scraps of paper, client files, etc. then I have to take several hours to transfer the notes to Quick Books for the billing. Sorry this is so long but I could sure use some suggestions. Thanks.

What a great job. I am thinking about getting an interior decorator because for some reason I am totally blanking on our house. Welcome!

Marilyn - Thanks for joining MyWomanOwnedBusiness.com! How did you hear about the website? I enjoyed reading your very straight forward profile, especially the part about the partner. I had the same experience, and I can't seem to reconcile that with the Center for Women's Business Research that says that having a partner increases your chances for business success. Must have been me! Anyway, thanks for joining. You should start a "group" on the site (click on the "Groups" tab at the top of the page) for interior designers. There are lots on our network! Use the "invite" tab to invite other women business owners you know to join us, too. Good luck!
